I will focus on the elderly, youth, farmers and the productive sector – Akande-Sadipe

Tolulope Akande-Sadipe, a member of the House of Representatives representing Oluyole Federal Constituency, has assured her constituents that she will continue to represent their interests effectively and responsibly.

Akande-Sadipe, chairwoman of the House of Representatives Committee on Ethics and Privileges, said she would focus particularly on the elderly, women, youth, farmers and other agricultural and production sectors in local government.

While reporting on her work after a year as a legislator in the 10th Assembly, she said she is well on her way to changing the narrative on representation, adding that she has hired about 500 volunteers to support her district office.

Akande-Sadipe added that she managed to deliver quality representation to her nation despite months of rigorous, tense and traumatic electoral disputes.

“In line with our commitment to strengthening community interactions made during the 2023 election campaign, Tolu Akande-Sadipe has recruited over 500 volunteers to support the constituency office.

“These assistants cover different age groups where both men and women are represented. The selection criteria have been further divided by age groups. All those employed are APC members in Oluyole with membership cards. In addition, some liaison assistants have also been selected from different communities to help in the recruitment of APC members in order to increase the party’s membership in the entire local government.

“Their primary responsibility is to ensure timely reporting of project requirements, health, school infrastructure, education, roads, electricity, social empowerment initiatives and others to Hon. Tolu and the district office administrative team. In addition, they will oversee the supervision of the project, utilizing their domicile in communities across the Local Government Area. They will work closely with grassroots community leaders to ensure equitable distribution of democratic dividends across the Local Government Area,” she said.

She added that among projects in her constituency, she facilitated the construction of two blocks of classrooms at St. Thomas Primary School, Aba-Olose, Ibadan.

Akande-Sadipe also hinted that projects in her constituencies have enabled the delivery of transformers to Lanisa Olowola, Elewure Soka and Aba Ode Soka communities.

The lawmaker who provided over 142 constituents, including secondary school students, with laptops, added that he was placing special emphasis on the welfare of the elderly, women, youths, farmers and the less privileged in Oluyole Federal Constituency.
