LG Energy Solution posts 58 percent drop in second-quarter operating profit

LG Energy Solution on Monday estimated its second-quarter operating profit at 195.3 billion won ($141.7 million), down 57.6 percent from a year earlier.

Revenue fell 29.8 percent to 6.16 trillion won. Net profit data was not available.

Operating profit was 16.4 percent lower than the average estimate, according to a study by Yonhap Infomax, the financial data arm of the Yonhap news agency.

The company will release its final earnings report later today. (Yonhap)
