ESDM Ministry launches Renewable Energy Indonesia website | INSIDER

The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has launched a website – Renewable Energy Indonesia (REI) – to increase interest among young Indonesians in the field of renewable energy.

This website – https://renewableenergy.id – was developed by the Human Resources Development Center for Electricity, New, Renewable Energy and Energy Saving (PPSDM KEBTKE) under the Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDM) of the Ministry of ESDM, in cooperation with the Renewable Energy Skills Development (RESD) Project.

Susetyo Edi Prabowo, director of PPSDM KEBTKE, said the REI website aims to strengthen the renewable energy ecosystem in Indonesia by providing a variety of information related to the sector.

“The information provided includes job offers, directories of companies and educational institutions, training courses, renewable energy certification, and an educational center to explore various technical and policy aspects related to renewable energy,” Susetyo said in a statement quoted on Sunday, July 7, 2024.

The site is expected to encourage young people to expand and accelerate renewable energy adoption. Susetyo added that the REI site serves as an all-in-one platform to increase the interest of young people and the general public in the energy transition.

Additionally, job seekers can register on this website and receive free information about vacancies in the renewable energy sector.

The RESD Project is a development cooperation between the Government of Indonesia through BPSDM ESDM and the Government of Switzerland through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO). The aim of the project is to create a competent workforce in the renewable energy sector in Indonesia.

Susetyo hopes that by involving young people, scientists, renewable energy industry representatives and the general public as the main users of the REI platform, it will be possible to achieve a broader impact in supporting Indonesia’s energy transformation towards clean and sustainable energy.
