Keir Starmer continues UK tour in Belfast

It’s a new week and a new government as Sir Keir Starmer and his team begin their first full week in office.

It’s also the first day back at school for hundreds of new MPs – so if you had a scare last night, they may be in the same situation.

Today Starmer arrived in Belfast to meet with Northern Ireland leaders before continuing his UK tour to Cardiff.

Rachel Reeves also has a big job to do this morning – she will make her first speech as chancellor, giving a first glimpse of her plans to boost the economy.

We also expect to hear more from the Health Secretary and the Education Secretary about their plans for the NHS and teachers – and there will be a range of political guests on the morning TV and radio shows. All this, and it’s only Monday. Stay tuned!
