Transport Minister Jo Haylen said Commissioner Wing had played a key role in regulating the point-of-sale transport industry at a time of great change.

“I congratulate the Commissioner on his re-appointment and look forward to working with him to continue to represent the interests of all taxi and ride-sharing passengers and to work in the best interests of the point-to-point industry,” she said.

Mr Wing’s compliance team has issued more than 690 tickets to drivers for toll offences since November 2022.
