harbinger

QNAP Systems, Inc. recently launched the TS-432X and TS-632X, aimed at entry-level business applications for small and medium-sized businesses and personal studios. These models are equipped with a quad-core processor, enhanced with high-speed 2.5GbE and 10GbE connectivity, and offer PCIe expandability. Both the TS-432X and TS-632X are designed to streamline file management, data security, and backup workflows. They facilitate streamlined data storage, quick search, and easy sharing functions, which is suitable for managing backups across multiple devices.

Product Manager Andy Chuang highlighted the utility of these models in environments increasingly adopting 10GbE networks. These models provide a cost-effective option for businesses requiring smaller 10GbE NAS solutions, offering multiple LAN ports and PCIe expansion at a cost-effective price.

The TS-432X and TS-632X feature built-in 10GbE SFP+ network ports that support higher bandwidth, which is essential for large file transfers and intensive data access. Moreover, compatibility with QNAP 10GbE SFP+ network switches allows businesses to cost-effectively expand their network setup. Both models support JBOD storage expansion to meet the demands of growing data volumes.

These NAS models offer comprehensive backup solutions that can safeguard data across devices and platforms, including Windows and Mac computers, WordPress sites, and cloud services like Google Photos, and productivity apps like Google Workspace and Microsoft 365. Regular NAS snapshots and remote backups to QNAP’s myQNAPcloud storage are recommended to strengthen your disaster recovery strategy and protect against ransomware.

The security features of the TS-432X and TS-632X include VPN and firewall integration to strengthen system and data security. The built-in App Center provides access to additional apps, such as QVR Surveillance Solution that turns your NAS into a complete surveillance system. Container Station allows you to host Docker apps with connectivity to a wide range of apps available on Docker Hub.

The TS-432X features a 4-bay tower configuration with one 10GbE SFP+ port, while the TS-632X features a 6-bay tower configuration with two 10GbE SFP+ ports. Both models are powered by an AnnapurnaLabs Alpine AL524 quad-core 2.00GHz processor and have 4GB non-ECC RAM, expandable up to 16GB with ECC RAM support. These include hot-swappable 2.5-inch/3.5-inch SATA 6Gb/s HDD/SSD, two 2.5GbE RJ45 LAN ports, a PCIe Gen 3 x4 slot, and two USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5Gb/s) Type-A ports with USB One-Touch-Copy support.
