AZB adds TTA antitrust partner in Delhi

News

AZB & Partners continues to expand its antitrust practice with the addition of partner Dinoo Muthappa from Talwar Thakore & Associates in New Delhi.

She is the second antitrust hire at AZB in two months, with partner Kirthi Srinivas joining from Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas in Mumbai. She will be the firm’s seventh antitrust partner.

Muthappa specializes in abuse of dominant position, merger control (both strategic and private equity), cartels and leniency, antitrust and compliance across a variety of sectors. These include digital markets, payments, pharmaceuticals, automotive, healthcare, media, FMCG and glass.

He also advises private equity firms on minority investment notification, cross-border risk concerns, strategy and regulatory compliance.

Her most notable achievements include the mergers of entities such as Publicis-Omnicom, Unilever PLC-Unilever NV and, most recently, HSBC-L&T.

Most recently, Muthappa advised on the asset sale in the $90 billion merger of Linde AG with Praxair and advised a consortium of investors on the acquisition of divestiture assets from Veolia’s acquisition of Suez SA. In addition, she led Generali Group in its majority acquisition of Indian insurance joint ventures, securing multi-jurisdictional merger control approvals.
