The two patches provided by the American giant do not apply to the Galaxy device.

The latest security patch fixes bugs related to the grid view, battery statistics service, call authentication, Samsung Dialer, and other services and features. One of the most serious vulnerabilities that the Korean giant patched was a buffer overflow in the bootloader that allowed local attackers with privileges to execute arbitrary code.

As for the Galaxy A32, for which the Korean giant has started rolling out the May security patch. It comes with the firmware version A325MUBS8DXF2 and was the first to appear in Brazil.

The May security update includes fixes for 45 vulnerabilities discovered in previous versions of the software. 33 of them were patched by Google, and the fixes apply to all Android devices. Three of the fixed bugs are rated as critical, 26 as highly dangerous, and one as moderately dangerous. Two fixes do not apply to Galaxy devices, and one is for a bug that the Korean giant fixed in a previous security update.

Among other things, Samsung fixed a bug that allowed attackers to bypass the phone’s activation process, a bug that allowed attackers to access the secure folder without proper authentication, a bug that allowed attackers to access information in the current app, and a bug that allowed attackers to restart the phone, potentially causing memory corruption.
