Social Status x New Balance 1906U Pack | Release Date & Price

2024 is all about mesh running shoes, and New Balance is leading the pack. The Boston-based shoe company’s 1906 lines have made a significant comeback, and successful collaborations with Action Bronson, Invincible, and N.Hoolywood aren’t doing any harm; quite the opposite.

Now Social Status has thrown down the gauntlet, presenting the “In Due Time” package featuring the 1906U model in two different color versions with a common denominator: a tasteful orange accent.

The first colorway, “Grey/Blue,” features a jersey mesh base overlaid with luxurious nubuck and leather. The shoe’s upper features metallic silver accents complemented by blue accents on the panels, N logo, and sockliner. The midsole sticks to shades of blue, leaving a touch of orange on the toe for an eye-catching detail.

The second pair in the pack — the “Grey/Orange” — is more subdued and plays with textures a little more. Its woven jersey base is covered in layers of suede and leather. Talk about depth. Then, gold and black accents adorn the N logo, while a yellow heel tab adds a pop of color. To finish off the shoe, a cream midsole adorned with orange detailing near the heel completes the look.

The “In Due Time” theme seems to be inspired by watches, as hinted at by the campaign’s teaser showing off ring-shaped watches. It could be reminiscent of a similar concept that British retailer size? explored last year with its 1906R collaboration.
