Nothing’s Budget CMF introduces a new line of devices

Now there’s another affordable phone, watch, and earphone option.

In October 2023, CMF, the affordable Nothing brand, launched its first products and is now adding three new, improved products.

In a press release sent to Lifewire, Nothing’s CMF announced the new CMF Phone 1, CMF Watch Pro 2, and CMF Buds Pro 2 models. The CMF Phone 1 — the first in the series — features a “powerful camera system” and a customizable design, while the CMF Watch Pro 2 offers a customizable bezel and strap, and the CMF Buds Pro 2 has a new customizable face on the front of the case.

If you don’t like orange, you can also choose grey, white and blue.

The CMF Phone 1 starts at $199 and has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 5G processor with a 5,000mAh battery that CMF says “will allow users to use their phone for up to two days on a single charge.” The camera system includes a 50MP rear camera and a 16MP front camera. But the most interesting part might be the swappable backplate that lets you quickly change the colors of the phone whenever you need to.

The Watch Pro 2 takes personalization a step further with an easily swappable bezel and strap system, but it also has an AMOLED display with Always-On functionality and is IP68 waterproof and dustproof. CMF also says the Watch Pro 2 “boasts up to 11 days of battery life,” even with dozens of sports modes, heart rate and blood oxygen monitoring, and more. The Watch Pro 2 is priced at $69, with an additional bezel and strap kit costing $19.

The CMF Buds Pro 2, which will cost $59, aren’t as customizable in terms of looks, but they do have a charging case with a fully customizable Smart Dial that lets you “control every aspect of your sound” from the earphones.

The Buds Pro 2 headphones feature 11mm bass drivers and 6mm tweeters, as well as 50dB active noise cancellation and 6 HD microphones with Clear Voice Technology 2.0 and Wind-Noise Reduction 2.0. They also offer 43 hours of battery life with a fully charged case, which is enough for 7 hours of use after a 10-minute charge.

Unfortunately, the CMF Phone 1 is only available in North America via the company’s US Beta program. The CMF Watch Pro 2 and Buds Pro 2 will be available “later in July.”
