Marin Program Offers Free Energy and Water Saving Devices

MARIN COUNTY, CA — A Marin County program is offering residents free energy and water-saving devices through July 26. The Rising Sun Center for Opportunity Green House Call is open to homeowners and renters of single-family homes, duplexes and four-story buildings.

Each Green House Call visit can include an energy and water efficiency assessment of your home, as well as a kit containing energy-efficient light bulbs, draught excluders, tap aerators and high-flow shower heads, and a smart power strip or multiple Energy Plus smart modules.

The program involves local high school and college students on summer break, according to a Friday news release from Marin County. The Bay Area Regional Energy Network and the Marin County Community Development Agency Sustainability Team are collaborating on the project.
