Mays Landing man pleads guilty to possession of destructive devices

A Mays Landing man has pleaded guilty to possessing four destructive devices, U.S. Attorney Philip Sellinger announced Monday.

Robert Moser, 32, pleaded guilty in federal court in Camden before U.S. District Judge Edward S. Kiel.

He was charged on March 17, 2023, after police responding to an overdose at his home noticed the devices in his bedroom, authorities previously said.

All four devices contained explosive powder with a fuse protruding from each device. One of the destructive devices contained metal parts, another contained a metal nail and a protruding metal screw hook, a third had a protruding metal screw hook, and the fourth contained five metal dart tips.

Moser admitted that the devices were usable weapons.

He faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is scheduled for November 13.
