Unified Commerce Group partners with HotWax Commerce to create omni-channel retail technology suite – Retail Technology Innovation Hub

HotWax Commerce, a provider of omni-channel order management solutions in the Shopify space, has announced a partnership with Unified Commerce Group (UCG).

Frank And Oak, a Canadian sustainable apparel brand and part of the UCG portfolio, implemented HotWax Commerce OMS with Shopify PoS to streamline its omnichannel initiatives, including mobile checkout, online order pickup and in-store delivery, infinite aisles, ship from store, and in-store returns for online orders.

UCG began looking for an alternative to its NewStore mobile PoS, and Shopify PoS emerged as a natural competitor given Shopify’s existing e-commerce infrastructure.

However, UCG encountered limitations in using the Shopify PoS platform, especially in terms of advanced store inventory management and the ability to manage the multiple orders that were inherent to its business.

During this search, HotWax Commerce was discovered. After realizing it was pre-integrated with both Shopify PoS and Shopify e-commerce, as well as pre-integrated with Netsuite ERP – the ERP used by Frank And Oak – UCG’s confidence grew.
