Loews Arlington Hotel Names Tony France New Executive Chef – Hotel-Online

Loews Arlington Hotel | July 08, 2024

Loews Arlington Hotel and Convention Center is proud to announce the nomination Tony France as the new executive chef, effective June 2024. His responsibilities include overseeing all aspects of food and beverage operations across five restaurants and lounges, banqueting, 24-hour room service and special events at the new 888-room resort, which opened in February.

France was fascinated by cooking from a young age. Originally from Los Angeles, California, and raised by his mother and grandparents, he spent much of his time in the kitchen with his Sicilian grandfather, who was instrumental in fostering his passion for cooking through discovering new dishes. After briefly studying business, France followed his dream to Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Pasadena, where he graduated with honors. He began his culinary career in the kitchen of a private club in Hollywood, California, before moving on to hotels, eventually landing in luxury addresses in Marina del Rey, Venice Beach, Palm Springs, and Santa Barbara.

France joins Loews Hotels from his most recent position as executive chef at The Ritz-Carlton Dallas, Las Colinas, where he worked alongside Michelin-starred chef and restaurateur John Tesar on the resort’s new signature restaurant concept, Knife Italian. He has served as executive chef since arriving at Four Seasons Resort and Club Dallas, Las Colinas in December 2021, prior to the property’s transition to The Ritz-Carlton.

Aside from cooking, Tony is passionate about developing future talent, creating signature culinary experiences for guests, and showcasing his creativity at banquets. He joins a culinary leadership team that includes Sous Chef Andres Cisneros, Executive Chef Dustin Traylor, and Pastry Chef Krista Owens.
