NEW DELHI: Shares of energy companies were trading at 11:10 am on Tuesday

Top gainers included CESC Ltd. (up 6.31%), Karma Energy Ltd. (up 5.00%), Energy Development Company Ltd. (up 5.00%), Adani Power Ltd. (up 4.18%), RattanIndia Power Ltd. (up 3.00%), Torrent Power Ltd. (up 2.69%), Jaiprakash Power Ventures Ltd. (up 2.15%), Power and Instrumentation(Gujarat) Ltd. (up 2.00%), Kalpataru Projects International Ltd. (up 1.89%) and Inox Wind Ltd. (up 1.81%).

Top losers included KKV Agro Powers Ltd. (down 5.00%), Transformers & Rectifiers(India) Ltd. (down 2.15%), NLC India Ltd. (down 1.59%), Voltamp Transformers Ltd. (down 1.55%), Jyoti Structures Ltd. (down 1.35%), JSW Energy Ltd. (down 1.00%), Suzlon Energy Ltd. (down 0.95%), Gujarat Industries Power Company Ltd. (down 0.77%), NTPC Ltd. (down 0.47%) and Reliance Power Ltd. (down 0.15%).

The NSE Nifty50 index was up 58.55 points at 24,379.1, while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 240.57 points at 80,200.95 around 11:10 am.

Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (up 5.66%), ITC Ltd. (up 1.55%), Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (up 1.17%), Titan Company Ltd. (up 1.12%), Cipla Ltd. (up 1.06%), Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (up 0.9%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd. (up 0.89%), Divi’s Laboratories Ltd. (up 0.81%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (up 0.79%) and Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (up 0.71%) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack. On the other hand, Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. (down 0.92%), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd. (down 0.91%), UltraTech Cement Ltd. (down 0.81%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (down 0.76%), Reliance Industries Ltd. (down 0.75%), Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Ltd. (down 0.74%), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd. (down 0.61%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (down 0.55%), NTPC Ltd.
