Chubb Makes Several Executive Appointments

Chubb Ltd. on Tuesday named John Lupica, a senior vice president at Chubb Group, as executive president of its North America general insurance business, announcing a series of leadership changes.

Juan Luis Ortega, executive vice president of Chubb Group and president of Overseas General Insurance, its international commercial P&C business, succeeds Mr. Lupica as president of North America Insurance, effective 2019. Mr. Ortega reports to Mr. Lupica.

Scott Meyer, senior vice president, Chubb Group, has been promoted to chief operating officer, North America Insurance, a newly created position.

Mr. Meyer was previously president of the Westchester Division, Chubb’s wholesale surplus and overstock business. He reports to Mr. Ortega.

Christopher Maleno, senior vice president of Chubb Group, has been named vice president of insurance, North America. Mr. Maleno will retain his current role as division president, North America field operations, reporting to Mr. Ortega.
