Inside the Race to Adopte AI in Business – Jason Bradbury of The Gadget Show

The UKTN podcast returns for its seventh season and our first guest is Jason Bradbury, best known for his work on The Gadget Show.

In this episode, Bradbury explains how companies are “navigating” AI, why he’s bullish on the metaverse, and looks back at some of the craziest product testing he’s ever done.

“I don’t worry about the man in the chain as much as some people do, although I understand that if I were a factory worker, I would have more to worry about. Or if I were a lawyer – I wouldn’t want to be a lawyer, now,” he says. Bradbury.

Bradbury presented Channel 5’s The Gadget Show from its launch in 2004 until 2016, testing out technology and performing stunts including riding a jet-powered skateboard.

In early 2024, The Gadget Show returned as a podcast hosted by Bradbury and Suzi Perry.

He is also a speaker at business conferences, where he discusses the transformative impact of technologies such as AI, and is a published author. Elsewhere on the podcast, Bradbury discusses his film project about gamers using retro technology to battle AI in Skegness, and explains why he is bullish on the metaverse – despite some market failures.

“Facebook changed its name to Meta and went all in, but it was a little premature. It overshadowed the inevitable evolution to a shared virtual experience in a mixed reality environment,” Bradbury says.
