Samsung Unveils Range of New AI-Enabled Galaxy Devices

Samsung (OTCPK:SSNLF) unveiled a range of new AI-powered Galaxy devices at its Unpacked event in Paris on Wednesday, including a new titanium Galaxy Ring.

“This is the pinnacle of discrete medical technology,” said Matthew Wiggins, head of Samsung Research America’s Health Solutions Lab, ring. “It’s designed to be worn 24/7 and is a real game-changer when it comes to sleep tracking. You get all of this without a subscription. The powerful battery lasts up to seven days on a single charge.”

The ring, which comes in black, silver, and gold, starts at $399. Like all the other devices revealed during Unpacked, it will be generally available on July 24.

Galaxy Watch

The Galaxy Watch7 and Galaxy Watch Ultra were also unveiled at the event. They are priced from $299 to $649 and come in green, silver, and cream for the Watch7, and silver, gray, and white for the Ultra.

“It’s the perfect watch for adventure,” said Tom Cullimore, account director at Samsung. “It looks great, ultra-modern and elegant, and it has our signature round design.”

It also has Wear OS, which is provided in partnership with Google (NASDAQ:GOOG)(NASDAQ:GOOGL).

All new product versions are integrated with Galaxy AI technology, which will be available on 200 million Galaxy devices this year, said TM Roh, president of Samsung’s Mobile Devices Business.

“It can speak 16 languages ​​on the device, even without an internet connection,” Roh added.

The new product lineup appears to strengthen the partnership between Samsung and Google, as many of the new devices are tailored for Gemini and Google’s Circle to Search systems.

Galaxy Fold and Flip

The new phones include the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. Both are powered by the Qualcomm (QCOM) Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Mobile Platform.

“The Galaxy Z Fold6’s large, immersive display allows for efficient multitasking,” said Annika Bizon, head of Samsung’s mobile business. “With its dual-track hinge design and foldable edge, everyday bumps are minimized.”

The new foldable phones also come with Google Circle to Search. The feature lets users simply circle an object in an image on their phone, and Google will provide information about it. It can be used for things like instantly translating a menu in a foreign language or providing step-by-step instructions to solve a complex math problem.

Samsung is bringing Google’s AI-powered assistant, Gemini, to its phones.

“On Galaxy phones, just say, ‘Hey Google,’ and Gemini will appear on the screen to help you,” said Google’s Jenny Blackburn, head of Gemini User Experience. “Gemini is optimized to work on this phone.”

Pricing for the Z Fold6 starts at $1,899, while the Z Flip6 starts at $1,099. The Z Fold6 is available in silver, pink, and navy, while the Z Flip6 color options include silver, yellow, blue, and mint.

Galaxy Buds

Finally, Samsung unveiled its Galaxy Buds3 and Buds3 Pro. Prices start at $179 and $249, respectively. New features include improved noise cancellation and adaptive noise control.

Bizon also stressed the importance of privacy in the context of AI. Many AI features can be set to run on-device or in the cloud.

Furthermore, to extend the life of these devices, Samsung guarantees that they will survive seven generations of operating system updates and seven generations of security updates.

Google and Qualcomm shares remained relatively stable following the announcements.
