Amazon India Prime Day: Over 3,200 products from small businesses to launch; check out categories – SME News

Prime Day, e-commerce company Amazon India’s digital shopping event this year will witness the launch of over 3,200 new products by small businesses, the company said on Thursday. Amazon India said the new products scheduled to be launched on July 20-21 will be available across categories such as home and kitchen, fashion and beauty, jewellery, handicrafts etc.

“Tens of thousands of small businesses will participate in one of the most anticipated shopping events on Amazon.offering customers across India hundreds of thousands of Prime-enabled products“– the company said in a statement.

“During the two-day event, sellers will not only experience a huge increase in the visibility of their products and brands but will also get direct access to Amazon’s massive customer base across India, covering 100% of the supported PINs,” said Amit Nanda, Director, Partner Services, Amazon India.

Nanda said the company’s aim, through such shopping events, is to “enable small and medium enterprises to harness the power of e-commerce and discover new avenues for success, supporting a vibrant online market that contributes to greater economic growth in India.”

The company said it will launch thousands of new products from brands like Intel, Samsung, OnePlus, Boat and Titan as part of Prime DayLenovo, American Tourister, Crocs, Mamaearth, ITCP&G, Himalaya, etc.

SMB sellers can use Amazon India’s Sale Event Planner to sign up and offer deals during Prime Day. The planner also provides data-driven recommendations for inventory planning. Additionally, the company’s new Seller Success Center guides sellers on setting up online stores, adopting key growth levers, and leveraging features like Ads, Prime, and Offers.

Amazon Prime launched in India in 2016, offering same-day delivery on over 4 million products, no minimum cart order limit, an early access window to shopping events such as Prime Day and Great Indian Festival, and entertainment benefits including Prime Video, Prime Music, Prime Gaming and Prime Reading.
