Bagless days at school: The Directorate of Education recently issued guidelines for implementing 10 days bagless in educational institutions in Delhi. In the official circular, the DoE has directed heads of private and public schools to introduce 10 bag-free days from grades 6 to 8.

The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) has introduced these guidelines as per the recommendations of the National Education Policy 2020. They will make learning in schools more experiential, joyful and stress-free.

Visit historical monuments and places of tourist interest during bag-free days

According to the guidelines, “activities can be carefully chosen so that the available resources at the school’s disposal are used optimally. Bagless activities carried out during the execution of the happiness program or excursion visits, etc. can be included in bag-free days.

“Under these guidelines, students can visit historical monuments, cultural sites, handicraft centers, places of tourist interest and many more. They can meet artists and artisans, broaden their understanding of different concepts and traditions and help them appreciate the importance of heritage preservation,” he adds.
