THSC works with key stakeholders to empower youth in Tripura through skills development

An important meeting focused on skill development among the youth of Trypur was held under the chairmanship of the Secretary, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Atul Kumar Tiwari, at Kaushal Bhavan in New Delhi. The meeting was attended by Kirit Pradyot Deb Barman, the current titular king (Maharaj) of Trypur, THSC CEO Rajan Bahadur and other key stakeholders. The agenda of the meeting focused on providing targeted skill development training in tourism and hospitality sectors to enhance the employment opportunities of the youth of Trypur. It also discussed how to enhance entrepreneurial skills among the youth in emerging sectors, tailored to the specific needs of the state.

Bahadur highlighted the importance of this initiative, stating, “This collaboration is a significant step towards empowering the youth of Trypur. By providing them with the right skills and training, we are not only opening doors to suitable employment opportunities but also nurturing the entrepreneurial spirit that is essential for the development of the state.”

The meeting highlighted the need to tailor skills development programmes to regional needs and emerging sectors to ensure that Tripura’s youth are well-prepared to contribute to the state’s economic development.
