Samsung Simplifies Device Repair for AT&T Customers in the US

Last update: July 13, 2024 at 11:53 UTC+02:00

Samsung customers in the United States have had some trouble choosing repair options recently, but the company is moving forward with a new partnership that aims to simplify the device repair process, at least for customers of one of the country’s carriers.

Samsung has simplified the process for Samsung device users operating on AT&T’s network, the second-largest mobile carrier in the United States, making it easier for them to schedule a device repair.

AT&T CS Agents Can Now Schedule Repair Visits

The goal is to make same-day, no-schedule repairs more accessible to AT&T customers. The company has partnered with the carrier to provide its customers with same-device repair options. So instead of requesting a device replacement through customer service, AT&T call center agents can now schedule warranty appointments, no-schedule, at about 700 Samsung or uBreakiFix by Asurion retail locations nationwide.

This greatly simplifies the process of scheduling repair services. Customers do not need to contact multiple parties, they simply call AT&T and ask one of the agents to schedule an appointment. The focus will remain on Same Unit Repair, meaning that the repair service provider will do their best to repair the customer’s device.

Many other companies, including Apple, would simply replace a customer’s broken device with a new or comparable refurbished device. Samsung understands that devices are very personal, so it will go to great lengths to repair a customer’s device and return it to “factory condition.”

All repaired devices will be covered by a 90-day limited warranty or the remaining period of the original warranty. Repair centers employ Samsung certified technicians and use only Samsung genuine parts for repairs, ensuring a high level of service quality. Same-day repairs are available for most mobile devices, including Galaxy S21 and newer models, provided appointments are made on or before 3:00 PM.
