TFT 14.21 Patch Notes – World Update

With the launch of Teamfight Tactics Set 13 announced and TFT Set 12 coming to an end, it’s time to move on to the penultimate patch in the TFT Set 12 lifecycle. Although the patch is small, the TFT 14.21 patch is very important because it is the World patch.

This patch will be the one on which players participating in the regional finals, as well as the TFT Magic n’Mayhem championship, will play. The goal of this patch is to adjust outliers while paying attention to buffs so as not to overcompensate for the current meta.

That said, there are some significant changes happening in the new patch that players will want to be aware of when the patch hits live servers on Wednesday, October 23. Here are all the changes in the TFT 14.21 patch notes.

In the trait department, Arcana is slightly tweaked as Tahm Kench’s bonus sees a slight nerf at higher intervals while Xerath recovers a bit of power at the three game interval. Other changes include adjustments to Chrono and improvements to Eldritch, Honeymancy and Frost.

There aren’t many champion changes in TFT patch 14.21, but players may want to keep an eye on Warwick as a potential reroll threat with some buffs coming. Shyvana is nerfed a bit while Syndra receives a buff. Jinx and Katarina also receive buffs, while Rakan is nerfed a bit.

Some increases are removed entirely or at certain intervals because they are underperforming. This change instead of buffs is because buffs can compromise the integrity of the game over a significant patch, but their appearance as essentially immediate jumps isn’t entirely fair to other players who won’t have no need to update their increases.

A few item changes are coming, particularly to the Artifact and Support item classes, with the biggest change being the removal of the Corrupted Vampiric Scepter. This element has been particularly polarizing and is being deactivated for reasons of competitive integrity.
