Big claims of government fall as suffering of society continues in all sectors: Uday Chib

Hari Singh urges people to support Congress Party in upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir

JAMMU, JULY 15: The central government has gained experience in making big promises but in practice its performance has been pathetic and people are suffering in every respect as public infrastructure, health, education, employment, tourism and businesses are going through a desperate phase.

This was stated by Uday Bhanu Chib, General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress, while addressing a public meeting in Jammu North Assembly segment. Hari Singh Chib, Vice President of J&K Pradesh Congress Committee, was also present.

Addressing the gathering, Uday Chib said that the people of the country have made a big mistake by voting for the BJP and the need of the hour is to eradicate it as soon as possible to ensure good governance in the country. He said that the BJP cannot offer anything except big empty promises like bringing back black money, eradicating corruption, teaching a lesson to China and Pakistan etc.

Uday said the people of J&K are fed up with lies and false promises made by the BJP leaders in the Union Territory. He alleged that the people of the state are facing rising inflation and youth are struggling to get jobs. The Prime Minister does not even mention the problems faced by farmers and workers, he added. “Inflation has affected people at all levels. Even a cup of tea is now beyond the reach of common people. The Centre has not taken any decisive steps to control the skyrocketing prices,” he added.

Hari Singh Chib, Vice-Chairman of JKPCC, said that the present Jammu and Kashmir government has failed to provide basic amenities like availability of ration, frequent supply of electricity and water. He termed it as unfortunate that people are being subjected to immense suffering due to lack of basic amenities like electricity and water in the absence of a popular government in Jammu and Kashmir. He also criticised the central government for giving more powers like Delhi LG which is weakening the democratic rights of the people. He said that due to lack of vision and wrong policies of the government, the people of Jammu and Kashmir are facing a crisis situation where every segment of the society is feeling completely neglected.

Hari Singh Chib appealed to the people of North Jammu constituency to unite and empower Congress leaders in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir as only Congress can fulfil the aspirations of the general public.
