Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Launches New Smartphone App

LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) – The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) has launched a new smartphone app to help keep southwest Louisiana informed.

With the app, users can quickly access items of public interest such as scam alerts, jail information, a sex offender list and sheriff’s sales, according to the sheriff’s office. Users can also submit tips to the CPSO and pay taxes, traffic tickets or court fines on the app.

“This app will allow our community to stay informed, report tips and connect with our office quickly and easily,” said Calcasieu Parish Sheriff Stitch Guillory. “By downloading the app and allowing notifications in your phone settings, you will also be able to receive emergency notifications directly from CPSO. »

The app was developed by TheSheriffApp.com, which specializes in developing mobile applications for sheriff’s offices and public safety agencies across the country, CPSO said.

The app can be downloaded for free from the App Store or Google Play, by searching for “Calcasieu Parish Sheriff, LA.”
