LABF to honor Hearst for “outstanding contribution to broadcast preservation”

NEW YORK – Hearst Television will be honored with the second annual award American Broadcasting Foundation LibraryLABF Award for Excellence in the Preservation of Radio and Television Broadcasts, awarded in recognition of the firm’s “exceptional dedication and commitment to the preservation of radio broadcast history.”

The presentation will take place during the annual Giants of Broadcasting luncheon on Tuesday, November 12. The event will begin at noon at Gotham Hall in New York City.

This award is given to an individual, organization or company that exemplifies the importance of preservation and collection of materials in the broadcasting industry.

“Hearst is a leader in preservation among media companies nationwide,” said LABF Co-Chairs Heidi Raphael and Jack Goodman. “Their commitment and dedication to preserving important moments in local and national broadcasting history across the company for future generations to enjoy for years to come is truly extraordinary. It is a true honor to recognize them for this distinguished work.”
