BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA – Brevard Public Schools is proud to announce that 55 schools in the district have earned State Designated School Recognition funds for outstanding performance during the 2023-2024 school year.

These funds are awarded to schools that earned an “A” grade or improved their grade from the previous year, demonstrating the dedication of our students, staff and administrators.

In total, 47 traditional schools and 8 charter schools will share an impressive $5.6 million in school recognition funds.

This is an increase from last year’s distribution, which was allocated to only 35 traditional BPS schools.

Each school will decide how the funds will be used; These funds are most often distributed as bonuses to eligible school employees, in recognition of the hard work that contributes to student success.

We are especially pleased to see schools such as Endeavor Elementary, Fairglen Elementary, and Saturn Elementary included on the list, along with 15 other schools that have made significant improvements by increasing their letter grades.

“This is an extraordinary accomplishment for our schools and a testament to the hard work of our educators and students,” said Superintendent Dr. Mark Rendell.

“We are incredibly proud of their achievements and delighted to see these funds benefit the staff who make such a difference to the lives of our students.” »

The district will follow up with each recognized school to provide more details on how to complete the necessary paperwork to receive their funds.
