I am by no means a veterinarian or animal expert, but what I do know is that running a veterinary hospital is not always easy. Earlier this week, Washington Veterinary Hospital, LLC, located in Washington, Indiana, found itself in need of outside help. The hospital posted on social media a request for towel donations, a frequently used item throughout the facility.

“We are in need of towels here at the Washington Veterinary Hospital. If anyone has old towels they would like to part with, we would be happy to take them away from you,” a post on social media read. “We are currently overloaded with blankets and hand towels. So we are humbly requesting body size towels only. We use them every day in surgery. If you don’t have any to donate, please share them in hope someone else might have some. Thanks in advance for your help!”

The community was quick to respond and several people came together to make donations. Additionally, telecommunications company Rural Telephone Corporation (RTC) contributed by dropping off body-sized tote bags filled with napkins.

As of Wednesday, October 23, the hospital is still accepting donations. If you have any towels you would like to drop off, I’m sure they will be happy to take them away for you. Washington Veterinary Hospital is located at 209 SE 3rd St. in Washington.

Everyday Objects Our Pets Love More Than Their Expensive Toys

We spend a fortune on new toys for our pets. Chances are they will completely destroy them at some point. But before this destruction occurs, there are certain everyday objects in our home that our pets prefer to play with. The best thing…these “toys” are usually much cheaper.

Indiana Goodwill stores will not accept these 24 items

Much of what we accumulate is little used. Some of the items that clutter our closets, basements, guest rooms, and garages are in good condition and can easily be used by someone else.

Other items that are simply worn or broken also need to be cleaned or replaced. But, Goodwill is not the place for these articles.

Here’s what Goodwill talks about the items they can’t and won’t take.
