Here are the latest additions to BrokerLink

The acquisition momentum continues for BrokerLink, which announced this week that it has closed deals with William C. Aitken Insurance Ltd. and Louis Meier Insurance Brokers Ltd. The deals closed on June 1, 2024 and July 1, 2024, respectively. Both brokerages operate in the Greater Toronto Area.

BrokerLink has thus made 10 acquisitions this year.

Toronto-based William C. Aitken Insurance opened in 1946 and offers homeowners, auto and a variety of specialty commercial insurance products, including non-standard property, marine and aviation insurance. Members of its team continue to serve the company’s clients after the acquisition.

“Finding the right insurance to protect our customers from financial risk has always been our top priority,” says Tom Watson, president of William C. Aitken Insurance. “We will continue to exceed the expectations of our customers and community members.”

Louis Meier Insurance, based in Concorde, Ontario, opened in 1963. It offers home and auto insurance, as well as commercial property and auto insurance, recreational business insurance, life insurance and pet insurance, according to its website.

The latest acquisitions follow a series of acquisitions in 2024 that include The Standard, MKMK Group, Direct-Line Insurance, Hanbidge and Bowman, Powell Insurance Brokers, Bastow Insurance, Law Insurance Brokers, as well as the personal and SME insurance businesses of Halpenny Insurance Brokers.

BrokerLink is one of Canada’s largest property and casualty insurance brokerage firms and a subsidiary of Intact Financial Corporation.

During 2023, BrokerLink completed 20 acquisitions, expanding the company’s reach nationwide.
