Jason Dady, Ashkenazy Acquisitions, Mexico Ceaty food concept

Mexico Ceaty, a new mixed-use dining and entertainment venue, is scheduled to open in early 2025 on the San Antonio River Walk, a pedestrian street in San Antonio, Texas, USA.

The venue is being opened as a joint effort between Jason Dady Restaurant Group and Ashkenazy Acquisition, a real estate investment firm owned by American billionaire Ben Ashkenazy.

Mexico Ceaty, located at 849 E Commerce Street, will honor the culinary heritage of Mexico and San Antonio by transforming the current food court within the Shops at Rivercenter into a new destination.

The new space will include dining options, a café inspired by a panaderia (Spanish bakery), artistic events, a stage for live music and a marketplace.

The 21,000-square-foot facility is part of the center’s ongoing evolution into a destination offering retail and recreational experiences.

The space is being designed by architect Frank Valadez of SA Partnership in collaboration with Jason Dady Restaurant Group.

Mexico Ceaty will introduce bar and restaurant concepts including Tres Arcos, a full-service restaurant specializing in Tex-Mex cuisine, and El Ultimo, a tasting room dedicated to agave (spirits distilled from the agave plant) with a special focus on artisanal mezcals and aged tequilas.

The venue will also feature Dulce Aroma, a café offering Mexican pastries, churros and breakfast tacos, and Dos Cantinas, a 300-seat bar with lowered gardens and raised mezzanines.

Mexico Ceata’s main plaza will feature food stands such as a ceviche (fish) bar, tortilleria, taqueria (taco stand), fruteria (juice bar) and a Baja burrito stand.

FSR Magazine quoted co-founder and chef Jason Dady of Mexico Ceaty: “Our goal at Mexico Ceaty is to create a place where locals and visitors can enjoy the flavors and traditions of Mexico while celebrating the unique spirit of our city.

“We’re excited to bring a variety of concepts to this space, with each element designed to provide an immersive experience. We have everything from paletas (caramel lollipops) and churros to street tacos and wagyu fajitas across a variety of quick-service and full-service locations.”
