Aptean remains in acquisition mode

Enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider Aptean continues to pursue acquisitions and today announced that it has acquired Principal Logistics Technologies (PLT), an Irish provider of specialist software solutions for warehouse management and supply chain optimisation.

Alpharetta, Georgia-based Aptean said the move adds new capabilities to its warehouse and supply chain management offerings for wholesalers, importers, manufacturers, retailers and 3PLs. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

PLT offers an integrated suite of solutions including picking, inventory management, receiving, reverse logistics, order management, shipment control, and loading bay management. The PLT platform is designed to manage single- and multi-station operations, with industry experience in 3PL, bulk, chemicals, cold storage, food, pharmaceuticals, wholesale/distribution, manufacturing, and retail.

Aptean’s latest acquisition follows the purchase of TOTALogistix in 2023, a provider of transportation management software (TMS), and UK-based ERP provider Merlin Business Software Ltd. in 2022.
