“The future of Egypt’s energy sector depends on the use of new and renewable energy sources,” said Prime Minister Madbouli, emphasizing the crucial role of partnerships with the private sector in the successful implementation of these initiatives.

Minister Sultan Al Jaber echoed these sentiments, reaffirming the feasibility and necessity of solving Egypt’s energy problems through joint efforts. He outlined mechanisms for cooperation in the short, medium and long term to achieve sustainable solutions to Egypt’s energy needs.

The meeting also addressed the significant increase in energy consumption in Egypt, emphasizing the urgent need to implement renewable energy solutions. Prime Minister Madbouli reaffirmed the strong bilateral ties and ongoing cooperation with the UAE to implement targeted projects that benefit both nations.

The cooperation aims to introduce 4 gigawatts of renewable energy into the Egyptian electricity grid by next summer, a major step towards sustainable energy use and economic development in the region.
