Depending on the venue’s local time (GST), the UFC 308 preliminary card is scheduled to kick off at 6 p.m., while the star attraction, the main card, is scheduled for later in the evening, starting at 8 p.m. hours.

This card also brings together fan favorites like Khamzat Chimaev and Sharaputdin Magamedov in the main card, promising an absolute fight card.

UFC 308 main card detailed

The main event of the evening will be 5 rounds between new featherweight king Ilia Topuria and former champion Max Holloway. This will be El Matador’s first title defense in the UFC.

As for Holloway, who currently holds the “BMF” belt, this will be another title shot, one too close to miss.

In the co-main event, undefeated Chechen Wolf, Khamzat Chimaev returns to action against former middleweight champion, Robert ‘The Reaper’ Whittaker in another thrilling five rounder.

While the fight had already been booked for the promotion’s Saudi debut, an untimely illness knocked Chimaev out of competition. And now the UFC has heard the call of its fans, rescheduling it to an even bigger card.

Next up is the decisive light heavyweight fight between No. 1 contender Magomed Ankalaev and No. 5-ranked Serbian Aleksandr Rakic. If the Dagestani can beat the Serbian, then LHW champion Alex Pereira would have no choice but to finally face the Russian, ultimately deciding the future of the division.

Besides the main event featherweight bout, the promotion has put together another 145-pound bout between “The Miracle” Lerone Murphy and fan favorite Dan Ige. Ranked 12th, Murphy is on an absolute tear, winning six of his seven fights in the promotion in the first round. As for Ige, the veteran is eyeing a rebound after a loss to Diego Lopes.

Meanwhile, fan favorite Sharaputdin ‘Bullet’ Magomedov opens the main card by taking on Armen Patrosyan at middleweight. Currently, both fighters are unranked and will look to get a W in their win column to move up the ranks.

Now that that’s out of the way, here are the purse and payout details of the main participants – Topuria and Holloway.

Estimated purse for UFC 308 for Topuria vs. Holloway

7-0 in the UFC, the Spaniard of Georgian origin Ilia Topuria has not yet tasted defeat in promotion! Interestingly, five of his seven fights in the promotion have come as finishes and he intends to repeat the feat when he steps into the octagon with Holloway.

And as the 27-year-old champion looks to establish himself as the next big thing in MMA, UFC 308 is expected to be his biggest payday.

Although exact purse details are not yet available, according to some market speculation, Topuria received $350,000 against Alexander Volkanovskiin at UFC 298, so he is aiming for a better payday now that he is now the champion.

As for Holloway, his brutal last-second knockout of Justin Gaethje earned him a generous $2.1 million payday plus two bonuses. So next Saturday he is expected to receive a similar purse, but without the huge UFC 300 bonuses.

However, according to SportySalaries, the UFC 308 main event will have a purse of $1.25 million. So there is still plenty of room to navigate.

Note, however, that these numbers are subject to change based on PPV actions and other benefits.
