The La Jolla High School Foundation reported raising about $17,000 during the Oct. 16 Taste of La Jolla event, during which guests wandered among 20 local establishments to grab sips and bites.

Proceeds will benefit La Jolla High programs.

Participating restaurants were Aldea, Aroi Thai, Beeside Balcony, The Birdseye Rooftop Restaurant and Bar, Catania Coastal Italian, Cherrywine Sushi and Burmese Cuisine, George’s at the Cove, Isola, Jose’s Courtroom, La Dolce Vita, Le Coq, Le Macaron French Pastries , Lobster West, Marisi, Piazza 1909, Puesto, Queenstown Village, Scoops, Shiku Sushi and Spiro’s.

Visitors could also enter a drawing to win prizes from many local businesses and organizations. ♦
