Accenture’s 2024 Acquisition Series: Navisite Joins the Lineup

Accenture announced a strategic move to acquire Navisite, a provider of digital transformation and managed services.

The undisclosed agreement is intended to expand Accenture’s application and infrastructure management services, with a focus on strengthening its capabilities in North America to help clients modernize their IT infrastructure in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).

Massachusetts-based Navisite employs a team of approximately 1,500 experts known for their expertise in cloud engineering.

With over 400 cloud engineers and over 2,000 certifications, Navisite has extensive experience across cloud platforms, enterprise applications, and digital technologies, serving industries such as technology, business services, healthcare, life sciences, and manufacturing.

Accenture North America CEO Manish Sharma highlighted the urgent need for clients to modernize their businesses, emphasizing Accenture’s key role in helping them. The integration of Navisite’s skilled team is expected to accelerate clients’ cloud transformations by helping them establish solid digital cores.

Karthik Narain, Group Chief Executive, Accenture Technology, highlighted the challenges that many enterprise IT environments face as they prepare for the AI ​​era. The acquisition strategically positions Accenture to help clients effectively modernize through innovation-focused managed services.

Mark Clayman, CEO of Navisite, expressed confidence in the partnership, stating that together with Accenture, they will be well-positioned to scale services and provide practical support to clients seeking agile, resilient and growing businesses.

The acquisition marks Accenture’s fifth strategic move, following recent acquisitions of 6point6, a UK-based technology consultancy, OnProcess Technology, a provider of supply chain management services, Work & Co, a global digital products company, and management consultancy Vocatus.

These acquisitions are consistent with Accenture’s strategy to expand its strategic and architectural capabilities, particularly in areas such as cloud computing, data, cybersecurity, supply chain management and digital product innovation.

The series of acquisitions is a reflection of Accenture’s dynamic expansion strategy through 2024 and strengthens the company’s position in providing comprehensive digital solutions for various industries around the world.
