DNEG Group completes acquisition of Prime Focus Technologies

A leading global provider of visual entertainment technologies and services, DNEG The Group (the Group) announced that it has completed the acquisition Main focus technologies (PFT), a developer of AI-based technology solutions for the media and entertainment (M&E) industry. PFT, a former subsidiary of parent company Prime Focus Limited Group, has offices in North America, Europe and India.

The strategic acquisition enhances the Group’s technological capabilities with PFT’s media automation and workflow software suite, CLEAR, and CLEAR AI, a multi-modal Gen AI platform based on patented “Machine Wisdom” technologies. The suite provides content management solutions for streaming platforms, studios, broadcasters and brands in the areas of video collaboration, content production and distribution.

This agreement is a continuation of the recently announced Investment of 200 million dollars in the DNEG Group by leading Abu Dhabi-based investor United Al Saqer Group, accelerating DNEG Group’s innovation and diversification strategy and launching a new division, Brahma, which is developing a comprehensive, AI-powered, life-like CGI creator.
