Trilegal’s antitrust chief Nisha Uberoi becomes JSA’s latest high-profile hire

JSA Advocates and Solicitors continues its market-leading expansion in 2024 with the appointment of one of India’s top antitrust lawyers, Nisha Kaur Uberoi, and her 25-strong team, including partners Harshita Singh Parmar and Pranav Satyam.

Before joining Trilegal in 2017, Uberoi co-headed the competition practice at AZB & Partners, and prior to that headed the same practice at Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas.

With over two decades of experience, Uberoi advises on matters such as cartel enforcement, abuse of dominant position, leniency applications, merger control, competition law audit and compliance. He represents clients in cartel investigations as well as abuse of dominant position proceedings before the Competition Commission of India, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal and the Supreme Court of India.

Uberoi is the latest in a series of prestigious partners that JSA has attracted due to its attractive equity partnership structure and operational independence.

Former M&A star Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas Iqbal Khan joined JSA in June with a 20-member team.

Recent JSA hires include a litigation partner from Luthra and Luthra Law Offices in Delhi, the litigation team from IndusLaw in Delhi, the litigation team from K Law in Mumbai and the real estate team from DSK Legal in Bengaluru.
