Wisconsin man arrested after authorities say they found child pornography on electronic devices

JANESVILLE, Wis. (WFRV) – After a four-month investigation, Wisconsin authorities have arrested a 39-year-old man after a search warrant revealed numerous electronic devices containing child pornography.

According to the release, the Janesville Police SWAT team executed a search warrant in the 200 block of Rockport Road around 5:30 a.m. Thursday. The detective bureau says it had been investigating the incident for about four months before issuing the search warrant.


K9 handler Detective Winiarski sent K9 Maui, a specialist in electronics searches, to help locate electronic devices in the home.

A search warrant revealed numerous electronic devices in the home, leading to the arrest of 39-year-old Brett Cochran.

Cochran was booked into the Rock County Jail on five counts of possession of child pornography. His initial court appearance is currently pending.

The incident remains under investigation and no additional details have been released.
