Invixium acquires Triax Technologies to expand its biometric solutions

Invixium’s agreement with Triax combines biometric technologies with AI-powered RTLS to improve security at industrial facilities and critical infrastructure.

TORONTO – Biometric access control, HR and visitor management solutions provider Invixium announced the acquisition of Norwalk, Connecticut-based Triax Technologies.

According to a joint announcement, the strategic acquisition “expands Invixium’s portfolio with Triax’s AI-powered RTLS (real-time location systems) and connected worker solutions designed to improve worker productivity and equipment utilization.”

With this move, Invixium “expands its scope beyond point-of-entry access control to address complex, everyday challenges across critical infrastructure and construction sites in industries such as oil and gas, manufacturing, construction, chemical, mining, and energy,” the announcement reads.

Why Invixium Acquired Triax Technologies

“We have identified more real-world problems to solve,” said Shiraz Kapadia, CEO and president of Invixium, in a joint announcement. “This acquisition underscores our commitment to delivering innovative solutions that address our customers’ health, safety, security and productivity needs in their facilities.

“With the addition of Triax, we now offer comprehensive end-to-end solutions—from secure entry points to the entire operational environment. This bold step marks a key advancement in our growth strategy,” he says.

Triax’s flagship connected worker solution, Spot-r, is a GPS-free platform with a patented and scalable mesh network, compact hardware and actionable dashboards. The system uses wearable tags to collect and transmit data to cloud software, providing near real-time information.

The solution operates on a standalone network, bypassing the back-end IT infrastructure. Software dashboards and AI-powered analytics help industries identify and eliminate critical productivity hotspots, track equipment utilization, and reduce emergency response times, improving overall facility safety and operational efficiency.

“The Triax platform for enhancing work productivity and workplace safety perfectly complements Invixium’s established portfolio of biometric access solutions and services,” said Scott MacDonald, CEO of Triax Technologies. “I am confident that Invixium will continue to advance the connected solutions and increase their impact, delivering significant value to our collective industrial customers and stakeholders.”

According to a joint announcement, Invixium and Triax technologies “will help organizations minimize the risk of unauthorized access and streamline operations, setting new standards for industrial security and performance.”

Invixium “is committed to a seamless integration process, ensuring continuity of services and introducing a broader spectrum of technologies to meet the evolving needs of both companies’ customers,” the announcement reads.

The financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
