Alibaba.com recently announced that basketball legend-turned-entrepreneur Tony Parker has been named a global ambassador for its Paris 2024 Olympic Games campaign, alongside two other sports stars.

Alibaba.com Chooses NBA Star Tony Parker as Face of Paris 2024 Olympics Campaign

Alibaba.com has announced Tony Parker as the global ambassador for its “Same Player, New Game” creative campaign for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

The Olympic Games bring together over 200 countries in over 300 events. Just as the Olympic Games reach a global audience, Alibaba.com plays a similar role in connecting suppliers and buyers around the world.

“I am a regular customer of Alibaba.com and have seen first-hand the tremendous value that can be gained by connecting with suppliers and efficiently sourcing products through an innovative digital platform,” Parker said in a statement.

Parker, a four-time NBA champion, is also a two-time Olympian who reached the men’s basketball quarterfinals with the French team at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Tony will be joined in the campaign by Simona Galik Moore, former Women’s Tennis Association professional tennis player, and mountain biker Elias Schwärzler.

Like Parker, both athletes have enjoyed success outside of sport.

In 2020, Galik Moore launched a professional pickleball brand that has piqued interest in one of the most exciting new sports. Meanwhile, Schwärzler is the founder and owner of a specialist mountain biking apparel brand and a mountain biking academy.

“This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the business opportunities available to former professional athletes and show how platforms like Alibaba.com can help turn their entrepreneurial ambitions into reality,” said Liz Wang, Global Chief Marketing Officer at Alibaba.com.
