The Court heard and gave directions on a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) petition filed in 2015 seeking action by BBMP to ensure that motorists and pedestrians in the city do not face grievances related to poor condition roads, potholes and congestion year after year. .

On Thursday, the petitioner’s lawyer pointed out that waterlogging was currently a “burning issue in Bangalore”, and yet the BBMP had “missed in action”.

The BBMP, however, assured the Court that it would file this affidavit before the next date of hearing.
