Iran’s acting foreign minister says new government will continue good neighbor policy

He spoke on the matter during Sunday’s government meeting, where ministers shared achievements made during their term.

The minister also praised the government’s policy of multilateralism, which he said began with Iran’s accession to the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO).

Bagheri Kani said Iran’s membership in the BRICS group of emerging economies is another result of the government’s wise foreign policy.

He added that Iran has now become a strategic partner for the BRICS member states.
