Here’s What to Expect from Gen Digital’s Next Earnings Report – TradingView News

The major player in cybersecurity is expected to report its results for the first fiscal quarter of 2025 after the market close on Monday, August 1.

Ahead of the event, analysts expect GEN to post earnings of $0.49 per share on a diluted basis, up 16.7% from $0.42 per share in the year-ago quarter. The company has beaten or matched Wall Street EPS estimates in its last four quarterly reports.

For fiscal 2025, analysts forecast GEN will post earnings per share of $2.04, up 13.3% from earnings per share of $1.80 in fiscal 2023.

GEN shares rose more than 15% on May 10 after reporting fourth-quarter results. Revenue rose 2% year over year to $967 million, beating Wall Street estimates of $965 million. Total bookings rose 2% from the year-ago quarter to $1.04 billion. The company’s non-GAAP net income rose 13.5% year over year to $336 million, and non-GAAP earnings per share rose 15.2% year over year to $0.53 per share, beating the consensus estimate of $0.52 per share.

GEN’s board of directors has approved a $3 billion share repurchase program, including the remaining $429 million. For fiscal 2025, GEN is expected to have revenue in the range of $3.89 billion to $3.93 billion, with EPS in the range of $2.17 billion to $2.23 billion. The company expects Q1 revenue in the range of $960 million to $970 million, with EPS in the range of $0.52 million to $0.54 million.

Analysts are unanimous in calling GEN stock bullish, with an overall rating of “Moderate Buy.” Of the six analysts covering the stock, three recommend a “Strong Buy” rating, while three recommend a “Hold.” The average analyst price target for GEN stock is $26.80, indicating a 5.2% potential upside from current levels.
