Retail technology company ParTech Inc. has rebranded digital engagement software provider Stuzo, which it acquired earlier this year, to PAR Retail. The name change reflects its continued commitment to the convenience store and fuel retail sectors, the company said.

Powering more than 25,000 retail sites and engaging more than 24 million members nationwide, New Hartford, N.Y.-based PAR Retail’s technology integrates loyalty programs, seamless checkout, immersive digital customer experiences, on-site engagement and specialized loyalty programs for the tobacco industry. The combination helps convenience retailers increase visits, sales and basket size, according to the company.

Loyalty programs alone do not create loyal customers, PAR Retail said. Retailers need to connect with their customers by providing relevant experiences, targeted offers and added value when needed. At the heart of PAR Retail’s offering is its Wallet Steering methodology, which delivers personalized offers based on customer purchasing behavior across verticals. This allows retailers to target additional opportunities, increasing customer lifetime value and generating a better return on investment (ROI), the company said.

“The rebranding of Stuzo to PAR Retail is a pivotal moment for our company and the industry,” said Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology. “This transformation reflects our commitment to delivering comprehensive, innovative solutions that deliver real business outcomes for our customers. This new chapter is an exciting step as we continue to lead in convenience and continue to drive retail technology forward.”

PAR, a global restaurant technology company that provides unified commerce solutions for corporate restaurants, also partners with brands such as Carl’s Jr., Hardee’s, Arby’s, Subway and other travel stops across the U.S. More than 70,000 restaurants in over 110 countries use PAR’s POS, digital ordering, loyalty and back office software solutions.
