Tragic Industrial Accident: Two Workers Die of Asphyxiation in Goa

Two workers tragically lost their lives due to suffocation on Thursday while repairing a crusher at an industrial unit in Verna Industrial Area in Goa.

The deceased were identified as Akshay Pawar, 24, and Akshay Patil, 27, both from Sangli and Kolhapur districts of Maharashtra respectively.

According to local police, the incident took place around 4 pm when the workers entered the lift shaft. Despite immediate medical intervention, they were declared dead on arrival at the hospital. The victims were employees of NJ Renewable Energy Private Limited at Cipla Unit’s Briquette Boiler Plant in Verna Industrial Area.
