Inmate who ran drug operation in Pennsylvania prison loses bid to reduce sentence

WILLIAMSPORT — The latest attempt to commute the sentence of a former Washington drug lord who ran a major drug operation at Lewisburg Federal Correctional Prison has ended in failure.

U.S. District Court Judge Mathew W. Brann on Friday declined to review his April decision to deny parole to Rayful Edmond III, 59.

The judge wrote that his motion appeared to be nothing more than another attempt to evade a properly imposed sentence for a drug operation he ran in prison.
