New features in the RRTS Connect app revolutionize the travel experience

The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has introduced several innovative updates to the RRTS Connect app, which aims to streamline passengers’ journeys on Namo Bharat trains. According to a statement issued on Saturday, the app now offers ticket booking, live train tracking and improved station navigation options.

The app, available on Google Play and Apple Store, allows passengers to book tickets for their journey using the ‘plan your journey’ feature, with payments accepted via UPI, debit or credit card, and net banking. Users can also view transaction history and download invoices.

Among the new additions is a live train tracking feature that provides real-time updates on train status and availability in the next 30 minutes. The app also includes train schedules, information on feeder buses and travel booking options via the Rapido app, which addresses the need for last-mile connectivity. The app also offers detailed information on station facilities such as availability of toilets, parking, platform information and nearby attractions. There is also a lost and found feature and contact details for station control rooms.
