Description

Curriculum Development

The developer will help create and maintain an educational app for our students. This app will be completely free for our students currently living in temporary housing in New York.

Scope and end products

  • Designing and creating interactive digital learning applications for our students on topics such as Math, English, Surveys and Assessments
  • Reference existing templates, roadmaps and processes, ensuring continuity of content delivery
  • Create and publish on your current platform
  • Creating quick and fun learning activities for our students that allow them to engage in problem-solving, communication, and measure their learning progress and ongoing academic performance
  • Track each student’s performance

Experience

  • Designing and Creating Digital Learning Experiences for K-12 Students
  • Instructional design knowledge for interactive learning experiences for students (Bonus: UI/UX expertise)
  • Knowledge and ease in using modern design and publishing systems
  • Moderate skills in visual design and creating/editing images and videos for educational purposes
  • Commitment to serving underrepresented youth

Mentor A Promise, Inc. has partnered with various family shelters to provide educational and career resources to students living in these shelters. We have been able to connect students with online tutoring to help them enhance their educational experience. We are partnering with various technology organizations to make these services available to students who have expressed interest. Our goal is to work with each student in the shelter to show them that they are not alone and to help them navigate this experience into a bright future.
