New app to keep Rexburg residents up to date

REXBURG – The City of Rexburg has introduced a new app to keep residents informed.

The City of Rexburg, ID App is your one-stop hub for classifieds, local events, news, documents and more.

“It’s like our gateway to citizens, especially those who don’t have social media,” said Sarah Kennett-Cromwell, social media strategist for the city of Rexburg. “We want it to be an opportunity for community members to see everything that’s going on.”

The app offers a live stream where users can follow the latest news from the city and even receive push notifications if they opt in.

“Ideally, we hope to be able to send out information as soon as something happens,” Kennett-Cromwell said. “We all know that it’s construction season in Rexburg, so we’ve been working hard to be diligent about sending out construction notifications.”

Users can also view the mayor’s newsletter and access the employee directory by department. City forms are also available with links to pay bills.

Users can even sign up for events and add them directly to their calendar.

“The art department is pushing out painting classes,” Kennett-Cromwell said. “We really hope people take advantage of that and turn on notifications.”

Residents can download the City of Rexburg app, ID for Android or iPhone.
