Capstone Asset Management has made an initial investment in Lynx Equity Income Trust, a mutual fund trust managed by Lynx Equity. No financial terms were disclosed.

Lynx Equity Income Trust participates in the debt of Lynx Equity’s US subsidiaries, encompassing a total of 17 companies. In the fiscal year ending July 31, 2023, these companies together generated over $338 million in consolidated revenue. The trust’s portfolio operates across sectors such as flooring, manufacturing, retail, service and wholesale.

Lynx Equity is a Toronto-based private equity firm that focuses on acquiring small and medium-sized businesses from owners looking to retire or seeking growth opportunities. It looks to invest in companies with EBITDA between $1 million and $5 million.
